මාලු රෝල්ස් ~ மீன் ரோல்ஸ் Fish rolls is a famous snack in Sri Lanka. In this recipe , Im showing how to make Sri Lankan rolls with Sardine and potato filling. For the filling 150g Canned sardines (boneless and skinless) 100g boiled potatoes (mashed) 2 Tbsp oil 1/2 tsp cumin seeds 1/2 tsp mustard seeds 2 Tbsp garlic, chopped 4 Tbsp onions chopped some curry leaves salt chilie powder Batter (Batter needs to be runny) 1 Cup all purpose flour salt pinch of turmeric powder Water (Amount may vary, I used around 2 cups) oil for deep frying ~~~Little bit about me~~~~ Im a Full time Developer and a Mother of two little kids. Apart from my IT career and role of a mother, I have many interests and talents. Cooking is on top of the list of my interests followed by Cake decorating, sewing, crocheting, gardening and reading. I used to be a painter and a dancer (But that's history now) As I come from a Sri Lankan family, by default Im a big fan of south asian cuisine. I come from a Sinhala and Tamil mix family in Sri Lanka. Because of this I was lucky enough to have a first hand experience at both Sinhalese and Tamil culture as well as food. Growing up, I ate a wide variety of food from both cuisines and some of these food have become my life long favorites. Even though it may appear that both Sinhalese and Tamil cooking methods look similar, there are significant differences that I have noticed. For example, in Sinhalese cooking Coconut oil, crushed pepper, black pepper are used widely, where as in Tamil cooking gingelly oil is widely used for cooking along with red chili powder. In this channel, Im trying to demonstrate recipes from both cuisines that I enjoy the most. I like to cook some original recipes as it is, sometimes I like to make changes to the original recipes, and also I have some of my own recipes which I have created. Apart from Traditional Sri Lankan dishes, Im planning to show recipes that I have tried from other parts of the world as well. I hope you find this Channel useful. Thanks a lot for watching my channel!
