Episode 39 of The Great Canadian Road Trip 🇨🇦 Today’s episode marks a major milestone as I leave Banff behind and drive west toward the Alberta–British Columbia border, entering my 10th and final province of the journey. Crossing the Continental Divide, I roll into Yoho National Park, where the landscape shifts almost immediately. Steep rock walls, deep valleys, and powerful rivers define this side of the Rockies. My first stop in British Columbia is thunderous Takakkaw Falls, one of the tallest waterfalls in Canada, crashing down from the hanging valley above. From there, I make my way to the the tiny railway town of Field, a quiet mountain community tucked between towering peaks. I then head to yet another stunning turquoise body of water called Emerald Lake. After Yoho, the journey continues west through Glacier National Park, where the highway cuts through dense forests, avalanche sheds, and dramatic mountain corridors. It’s a long but beautiful drive, with the scenery constantly changing as I make my way toward the town of Revelstoke. The episode captures the feeling of crossing into a new province — a shift in landscape, atmosphere, and pace — as the Great Canadian Road Trip pushes deeper into British Columbia. It’s a day defined by borders crossed, waterfalls discovered, and miles of unforgettable mountain road. 🔔 Join the Journey This episode is part of The Great Canadian Road Trip, a coast-to-coast travel documentary series exploring Canada one road at a time.
