The Active Volcano in Russia; Koryaksky

One of the most dangerous volcanoes on the planet is located within Russia. Known as Koryaksky, it is designated along with its neighboring volcano Avachinsky as a "decade volcano". It has produced several recent large volume lahars and explosive eruptions, which if they were to repeat today would devastate the large city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.
