Yang Style Long Form. These are the first kicks found in the Long Form. Their direction is to the Northwest and Southwest diagonal. This video is a supplement to class lessons and is best used to review the movements that were taught in class. Note: The Yang Style Long Form of Tai Chi has many variations. This version was taught by Zhu Chu Fang (朱楚方) (born 1913 - died 1988) who studied with both Chen Wei Ming and Yang Cheng Fu. It is very similar to the form taught by the Yang Family Tai Chi today but the major difference is an emphasis on coordinating the up and down movements (rising and sinking) of the legs and arms.
