It was a dull wet afternoon when we started this walk along Glen Iorsa, so I thought I would experiment recording footage in the rain. As we walked through the tall fern lining the narrow path between a fence and drystone wall, the pitter-patter of the rain hitting the leaves on the trees was calming and sheltered us for a short while. We crossed two fords with fast flowing water, making it ankle deep for us to cross but thankfully no slips or falls. It was quite refreshing actually, and I loved walking in the rain! The rain stopped when we reached Loch Iorsa with views to the Arran mountains, slightly hidden in the clouds and perfect for recording atmospheric timelapses. I felt calmer after the strenuous hike two days before when I was standing on one of those mountains looking down at Loch Iorsa! I love it when I can visually connect the land and mountains, like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle. I thought the small grassy patches in the loch you can see from above at 01:48 looked like a map and the small islands of Scotland. 💙 I hope you enjoy this slow and calm video, a day of no rushing.
