Today’s saints and commemorations include: Hieromartyr Blaise, Bishop of Sebaste — a holy hierarch who confessed Christ steadfastly even under severe persecution. Venerable Demetrios, Wonderworker of Priluki, Vologda — an ascetic and wonderworker whose life was marked by prayer and devotion. Saint Vsevolod (in holy baptism Gabriel), Wonderworker of Pskov — the holy prince and miracle-worker remembered for his faithful leadership and care for the Church. Righteous Theodora, wife of Emperor Theophilus the Iconoclast — who secretly upheld the veneration of holy icons and helped nourish the faith in difficult times. Saint George, New Martyr of Sofia — a faithful witness who gave his life for Christ in the face of persecution.
