Part of a series focusing on how to program games in Unreal. In this Project Step, you learn how to migrate pre-built UI systems—such as score display, health display, and the Game Over screen—from a sample project into your main C++/Blueprint project. You practice importing only the necessary Blueprints and widgets, updating your Game Mode to use the new HUD and Player Controller, and verifying that UI elements appear during gameplay. You also explore how to call UI-related functions directly from your PlayerBall Blueprint so you can test updating score, reducing health, and triggering the Game Over screen. This Project Step teaches you how to integrate existing systems into your own project so you can build features faster and more efficiently. Developed for my Game Programming class, these videos serve to provide a basic understanding of working within the Unreal Engine in order to introduce more advanced techniques later on.
