They emphasize the need for self-trust and empowerment in recognizing the value of one's emotions, regardless of external opinions. Website: https://awakenbootcamps.com/ Coaching exercise: The first step to breaking the cycle of attaching a story to your emotions, is awareness. We can start by noticing when we're telling ourselves a story about our emotions. A good clue is when our thoughts start looping—repeating reasons, justifications, or blame. When we catch ourselves doing this, we can pause and remind ourselves: "This is just a story. The feeling itself is separate from the explanation my mind is creating." From here, we can shift our attention to the body. Ask yourself, "Where do I feel this emotion in my body?" and "What does it feel like?" By focusing on the direct sensation, we allow the energy of the emotion to move. Because by not honoring the feeling, we unintentionally trap the emotion instead of allowing it to move through us. Which means you're stuck re-living that emotion over and over again, even in a different story.
