It’s Day 4 in our #turnyourworldupsidedown challenge and today’s pose is Headstand. When in the neck and spine are in alignment it is perfectly fine to place weight on the head. In fact you can carry a tremendous amount of weight on the head when this is happening. Check out some videos of Balinese women with offerings if you don’t believe me 😉 Yoga teaches us to align the body so in this short tutorial we will learn how and where to place the head on the ground to find stability and balance in two versions of yoga headstand, tripod headstand and classic sirsasana (yoga headstand with the fingers interlaced) I cover tips on how to use the wall as a prop with the back facing the wall, which for a strong yoga practice with fear is only recommended for a short period of time, and with the belly facing the wall. Practice everyday to learn to do your yoga headstand in the middle of the room in this yoga workshop.
