Welcome to Part 3 of Puberty Talk for Parents — a Graceville Parenting series with Dr. A, pediatrician and mom to a teen and two pre-teens. If you feel like you missed your window to talk about puberty, or your child is already in the middle of it, this video is for you. And here’s the good news: it is NOT too late. In this episode, Dr. A shares three simple, powerful ways to reopen the conversation and rebuild trust — even if the changes have already begun: 🌿 1. Prioritize Connection Over Correction Start where your child is right now — not where you wish you had started. When kids feel emotionally safe and supported, they’re more open to listening and sharing. Connection creates the doorway for conversation. 💬 2. Listen More Than You Lecture You don’t have to have a perfect script. Sometimes the best way to start is to simply notice what’s happening — needing new underwear, asking about deodorant or cologne, or commenting on changes. Use what you notice as an opening, then pause and listen. ❤️ 3. Normalize This Season Every child feels awkward and self-conscious at this stage — and many parents do too. Normalize what they’re experiencing: “Yep, that happened to me too. Everyone grows at a different pace. And when you’re unsure, we talk — or we ask your pediatrician together.” Your presence, not your perfection, builds trust. Your child needs your voice — maybe now more than ever. ✨ If you feel behind… take a deep breath. You have not failed. Parenting isn’t about getting it right the first time — it’s about staying, showing up, and being willing to try again. Here’s your reminder: It’s not too late to start the conversation. It’s not too late to reconnect. And you never stop advocating for your child. 🙌🏾 CALL TO ACTION (CTA) If this encouraged you, please: ⭐ Like the video ⭐ Subscribe for more Graceville Parenting Chats ⭐ Share with another parent who needs this reminder ⭐ Watch Parts 1 and 2 to complete the series Your voice matters in your child’s life — today and always. 💛 ⚠️ DISCLAIMER This video is for general educational and encouragement purposes only.
