🇮🇹Perfect Puglia Roadtrip & Itinerary, Bari, Polignano A Mare, Monopoli & Alberobello from Napoli🇮🇹 🔻🔻🔻Click Here For More Videos & Recommendations! 🔻🔻🔻 / @sweetlifeofliv ———————— We took a scenic journey across southern Italy, beginning with a comfortable long-distance bus ride from **Napoli to Bari**, which took approximately 3.5 to 4 hours. The route crossed the spine of Italy, offering views that transitioned from the volcanic hills of Campania to the rolling countryside of Puglia. Leaving behind the lively chaos of Naples, we arrived in **Bari**, a historic port city on the Adriatic coast that has served as a crossroads for trade and culture for centuries. Bari’s old town, **Bari Vecchia**, was our base for the next three days. This charming maze of narrow streets, whitewashed stone, and vibrant piazzas is home to the **Basilica di San Nicola**, built in the 11th century to house the relics of Saint Nicholas. The city blends ancient history with a modern southern Italian vibe — women hand-roll orecchiette pasta outside their doorways, while just steps away, trendy cafes line the piazzas. Bari’s long seaside promenade, the Lungomare, gave us endless views of the Adriatic and a relaxed introduction to the region’s pace of life. On our second day, we rented a car from *Bari Airport**, located just a short 20-minute drive from the city center, and set off on a road trip through the **Valle d’Itria**, an area known for its unique architecture and charming towns. Our first stop was **Alberobello**, roughly 1 hour from Bari. This small town is famous for its **trulli* — traditional dry stone huts with conical roofs. These structures, constructed without mortar, were originally built in the 14th century and have since become a UNESCO World Heritage site. Wandering through the Rione Monti district, we explored narrow lanes lined with hundreds of trulli, some now serving as boutique shops and cafes. From Alberobello, we continued our drive for about 30 minutes to reach **Monopoli**, a fortified seaside town with deep roots in ancient and medieval history. Its name comes from the Greek "monos polis," meaning "unique city," and it has long served as an important Adriatic port, particularly during Byzantine and Venetian rule. Today, it boasts a charming old harbor filled with colorful fishing boats, a historic castle, and narrow alleys flanked by white stone buildings. We enjoyed lunch near the waterfront and wandered the city’s quiet, authentic streets. Our final stop for the day was **Polignano a Mare**, just a 10-minute drive north. Built atop dramatic cliffs that plunge into the turquoise Adriatic Sea, the town has ancient origins dating back to Greek and Roman times. It later thrived along the **Via Traiana**, a Roman road connecting Benevento to Brindisi. Polignano is best known today for its breathtaking views, sea caves, and **Lama Monachile**, a small beach nestled between cliffs. The town is also the birthplace of Domenico Modugno, whose statue stands overlooking the sea, arms wide as if embracing the coastline. We returned to Bari in the evening, completing a round trip of about 3.5 to 4 hours of driving. Over our three-day stay, we discovered a region steeped in history and character — from the whimsical trulli of Alberobello to the seaside charm of Monopoli and the jaw-dropping views of Polignano a Mare. Each town offered its own unique story, making our journey through Puglia unforgettable. ———————— #PugliaRoadTrip #BariAdventures #AlberobelloTrulli #MonopoliItaly #PolignanoAMare #SouthernItaly #ItalyTravel #HiddenGemsItaly #TrulliTown #AdriaticCoast #ItalianCoastline #RoadTripItaly #ItalianVillages #UNESCOWorldHeritage #HistoricTowns #CoastalItaly #TravelPuglia #ItalianGetaway #ExploreItaly #DolceVitaVibes #itally #italia #puglia #europe #italianfood #italianroadtrip #roadtripitaly #italobus #flixbus #apulia #puglia #pugliafood #Bari #Alberobello #Monopoli #PolignanoAMare #Lecce #Ostuni #MartinaFranca #Locorotondo #Cisternino #Gallipoli #Otranto #Trani #Brindisi #Taranto #Vieste #Peschici #Mattinata #SantaMariaDiLeuca #CastellanaGrotte #Grottaglie #tulli #offseason #Puglia #PugliaItaly #ItalyTravel #PugliaTravel #VisitPuglia #PugliaRoadTrip #SouthernItaly #TrulliHouses #Salento #PugliaBeaches #Alberobello #PolignanoAMare #Ostuni #Lecce #Bari #MartinaFranca #Locorotondo #Cisternino #Gallipoli #Otranto#Italy #Italia #ItalyTravel #VisitItaly #TravelItaly #ItalyTrip #Rome #Venice #Florence #Milan #Tuscany #AmalfiCoast #CinqueTerre #Sicily #Naples #ItalianFood #ItalianCulture #TravelVlog #EuropeTravel #Wanderlust #it #ita #italyvisa ———————— Subscribe to our Youtube Page : / @sweetlifeofliv ———————— Shot on: 📹 : DJI Osmo Pocket 3 🎤: DJI Mic 2 🚁: DJI Mini Pro 4 Edited on 🖥️: Final Cut Pro ———————— More Great Videos: / @sweetlifeofliv
