Chicken Sindhi Biryani | Easy & Spicy Homemade Recipe Looking for an authentic Sindhi-style biryani that’s full of flavor and easy to make at home?🤔 This Chicken Sindhi Biryani recipe is rich, spicy, and absolutely delicious. 🤤 Perfect for special occasions or weekend family meals, it combines tender chicken, aromatic basmati rice, and a vibrant mix of spices to give you a restaurant-style biryani right in your kitchen. Follow my step-by-step guide and create a biryani that everyone will love!❤️ Ingredients | اجزاء Main Ingredients: Chicken – 1 kg Dahi / Yogurt – 250 grams Aloo / Potatoes – 5 medium (half cut) Tomatoes – 5 to 6 medium Fried Onions – 4 large onions (light golden, crushed) Cooking Oil – approx. 3 cups (for frying + cooking) Ginger Garlic Paste – 2 tbsp Green Chili Paste – 2 tbsp Shan Sindhi Biryani Masala – 1 full packet Orange Food Color / Zarda Color – ½ tsp Kewra Water – 1 tbsp Herbs & Flavoring: Hara Dhaniya / Coriander – 1 bunch Podina / Mint – 1 bunch Hari Mirch / Green Chilies – 6 small (half cut) Lemon – 2 whole (sliced) Imli / Tamarind – 2 tbsp Spices for Tomato Masala Mix: Crushed Red Chili – 1 tsp Salt – 1 tsp Chaat Masala – 1 tsp Sabut Zeera – 1 tsp For Rice (Chawal): Basmati Rice – as required (washed & soaked) Salt – 3 to 3½ tbsp (to taste) Oil – 3 tbsp Whole Garam Masala for Rice Water: Black Pepper – 1 tsp Cloves – 6 to 7 Cinnamon – 2 to 3 small pieces Badi Elaichi – 2 Choti Elaichi – 4 Badiyan Phool – 2 Tez Patta – 2 to 3 Kala Zeera – 1 tsp Method | ترکیب Step 1: Tomato Masala Mix In a bowl, combine tomatoes, coriander, mint, green chilies, lemon slices, tamarind, crushed red chili, salt, chaat masala, and sabut zeera. Mix well and set aside. Step 2: Chicken & Gravy Preparation Heat approx. 2 cups of fried onion oil in a large pot. Add chicken, potatoes, ginger-garlic paste, green chili paste, yogurt with food color, and Shan Sindhi Biryani Masala. Mix well and cook on medium-low flame, covered, for 10–15 minutes until chicken and potatoes are half-cooked. Step 3: Masala & Water Balance Check if potatoes are half-soft and gravy has approx. 2 cups water. Push chicken and potatoes to the sides and spread the tomato masala mix evenly on the sides. Step 4: Rice Boiling & Layering Boil water in a separate pot. Add whole garam masala, salt, and oil. Add rice and cook until 20% done. Add half of the partially cooked rice into the pot with chicken and masala. Cook the remaining half of rice until 80% done, then layer it on top. Add 1 cup of rice water and 3/4 cup water mixed with zarda color + kewra water over the top layer. Step 5: Dum Cover the pot with a cloth and lid. Steam on high flame for 10–15 minutes. Reduce flame to low and cook for another 10 minutes. Drizzle some oil on top, cover, and let sit for 10 minutes. Step 6: Final Touch Now the special Sindhi Biryani is ready! Serving & Tips Serve hot with raita or salad. Garnish with extra fried onions or fresh coriander for added aroma.
