If you enjoyed this video, please like, subscribe, and say hi in the comments—I’d love to hear what your favorite Christmas cookie is! #christmascookies #holidaybaking #cookies #bakingathome #christmasbaking #opencollab #cookieexchange #homemadecookies #cozychristmas #bakingvideo Tea Bag Shortbread Cookies Prep Time: 20 minutes Bake Time: 12–15 minutes Yield: About 24 cookies Ingredients • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened • ½ cup powdered sugar • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract • 2 cups all-purpose flour • ¼ teaspoon salt Optional Decorations • Granulated sugar or sanding sugar • Melted chocolate (for dipping) • Baker’s twine or string • Small paper tags (to look like tea bag labels) ⸻ Instructions 1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. 2. In a large bowl, cream butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy. 3. Mix in vanilla extract. 4. Gradually add flour and salt, mixing just until combined. 5. Roll dough out to about ¼-inch thickness on a lightly floured surface. 6. Cut into rectangles or tea-bag shapes using a knife or cookie cutter. 7. Use a straw or skewer to make a small hole at the top of each cookie. 8. Place cookies on prepared baking sheet and bake for 12–15 minutes, until edges are lightly golden. 9. Cool completely on a wire rack. 10. Decorate if desired: dip edges in chocolate, sprinkle with sugar, and tie baker’s twine through the hole with a small tag. Enjoy!
