Ever since day one, I knew you were the person for me. | Alley & Jamie’s Timber Barn Wedding

It's a tale as old as time - just one swipe to the right. Alley and Jamie matched on Bumble (where the woman has 24hrs to say "hi" first) while living in Toronto in late August 2016. Jamie extended the 24hrs, and how could Alley NOT say "Hello"!? They quickly set a date to meet up one summer's night at "The Local" in Liberty Village, Toronto, where they sipped on Sapporo pints while getting to know one another. Alley loved how easy Jamie was to talk to and how much of a gentleman he was (and still is). Jamie loved Alley's beautiful smile and her easy-going personality. After their first date, they didn't see each other for two weeks due to their busy schedules - this would be the longest time they have ever spent apart to this day! After a few more dates in Toronto, it was clear they had something special and very rare. Alley said, “The best way to describe our love is an introverted love - one solitude protecting another solitude. Just being together means we are home, and when we are together, we truly don't want to be doing anything else.” In planning, here are the details they listed that would make their wedding unique: The bar had menu name after our animals (Olivia, Pinot, and Deputy) The flowers were calla lilies (which Alley's parents had at their wedding) Jamie did a short dance with his grandma after the Mother Son dance Their guest book was their yearbook! (Every year Jamie and Alley make a yearbook with photos from each month - although they often forget to take photos so there aren't as many as they would like lol, it's a nice way to recap their years together and see how far they have come They had a Forbes cut-out magazine where guests can take pictures like they are on the front cover of Forbes! Alley and Jamie were married at The Timber Barn in St. Jacobs, Ontario. This new venue totally suited Alley & Jamie’s laid-back and elegant style, and the small-town nostalgia made it feel like a weekend away. They got ready separately with the company of their wedding parties and came together on a side street in St. Jacobs for their first look. It’s amazing to see a couple totally relax as soon as they’re together and settle into their stride for the day, and it was evident what a good match these two are for each other. Their ceremony was heartfelt and emotional with these beautiful vows they exchanged (they were a lot longer in person and dangggg, they’re beautiful). They stayed around the venue for the day, visiting with friends and family, enjoying the bar, and then getting into the reception, where they ate incredible food, listened to beautiful speeches, and then let loose for the party. Alley surprised Jamie with an outfit change on the dance floor, and then we snuck out into the street for a little session together. The day was so simple, intentional, and freaking stunning. We loved capturing this story, and we are so happy for you two, Alley and Jamie!
