It’s not even the filling that gives all the flavor. Its the liquid that comes off the cabbage rolls that is created into a tomato sauce full of flavors. 🌐 https://thefusionrecipes.com/golabki-... 🙍 Recipe for: 14 Gołąbki 🕐 Preparation time: 2 Hours & 30 Minutes Gołąbki Ingredients: For The Gołąbki: 🔶 300 g Beef mince 🔶 300 g Pork mince 🔶 150 g Long grain rice 🔶 1 Big white onion 🔶 3 Garlic cloves 🔶 1 tbsp Dried marjoram 🔶 1 tbsp Dried oregano 🔶 1 tbsp Sweet paprika powder 🔶 1 Egg 🔶 1 Young cabbage 🔶 500 ml Beef stock 🔶 1½ tbsp Tomato puree For The Tomato Sauce: 🔶 Liquid from the Gołąbki 🔶 400 ml Tomato Passata 🔶 5 All spice 🔶 2 Bay leaves 🔶 ½ tsp Table salt 🔶 ½ tsp Ground black pepper 🔶 15 g Butter Gołąbki Instructions: For The Gołąbki: 🔶 Add mince, all dente cooked rice, caramelized white onion and garlic, dried marjoram, dried oregano, sweet paprika powder and egg to a big bowl and mix this well. 🔶 Leave this in the fridge overnight. The longer the better. 🔶 Cook the cabbage in a cooking pot with boiling water and plenty of salt for 7 minutes. 🔶 Take the cabbage out and let it rest for 8 minutes. 🔶 Take off 14 cabbage leaves and trim the stems. 🔶 Add 50 grams of filling in a cabbage leave and roll it like a burrito. 🔶 Divide to a oven dish the rest of the cabbage leaves and add the cabbage rolls on top. 🔶 Mix the beef stock with tomato puree and add this to the oven dish. 🔶 Cover the oven dish with silver foil and add it to a preheated oven at 180℃ for 95 minutes. 🔶 After 95 minutes take it out of the oven and add the cabbage rolls on a plate. 🔶 Pour the liquid that is in the oven dish in a cooking pan. 🔶 Add back the cabbage rolls and cover with silver foil. Let them steam on your workspace. Not in the oven. For The Tomato Sauce: 🔶 Bring the liquid in the cooking pan to a small boil. 🔶 Add the tomato Passata to it while stirring. 🔶 Keep it on a small boil while stirring for 5 minutes. 🔶 Add all spice, bay leaves, salt and black pepper and keep stirring for another 5 minutes. 🔶 Add some butter and stir this in. Let it rest.
