This challenging hike led me through rugged terrain and poorly marked trails to the scattered wreckage, a haunting yet powerful tribute to these fallen heroes. Pieces of the aircraft are strewn across the mountain, a stark visual of the impact that ended their mission and lives in an instant. I felt a sense of sadness and loss atop the unnamed mountain, I returned a changed person with a deeper respect for service men and woman.
