In an era shaped by political division, deportation, protest, and moral uncertainty, the Buddha’s teachings on ethical conduct remain both timeless and urgently relevant. Devin joins us by Zoom from Marin County, CA, to explore Sila: right speech, right action, and right livelihood as living practices that guide us through complexity with clarity, courage, and care. Drawing on the Noble Eightfold Path, we’ll reflect on how ethical integrity supports wise engagement without hatred, apathy, or collapse. Rather than offering fixed answers, this teaching invites us to root our responses in awareness, compassion, and responsibility so our actions in the world arise from wisdom, not reactivity. 00:00 Introduction 06:42 Guided Meditation and silence 46:04 Dharma Talk on Ethical Conduct in a Time of Upheaval •Meditation teacher, Devin Berry began practicing in 1999.
