Hayden: Today we're going to be taking a look at the BoatBuckle Ratchet Transom Tie-Downs. They come in a quantity of two. It's part number IMF12613. These ratchet-style transom tie-downs are going to secure your boat's stern to your trainer safely and easily. Compared to a cam buckle-style, the ratchet-style is going to allow you to tighten down your strap without any guesswork. It also has a quick-release lever that allows you to loosen the straps instantly. Just like this. It's just as easy to tighten up: Simply draw it up to remove any excess, unlock it from the unlocked position, and begin ratcheting. To install the strap into the ratchet, you want to be sure the ratchet is closed. We're going to put the strap through the open slot here. So we'll feed it through and then back over. And then you're all set to hook it up. The strap itself is made out of a durable nylon webbing. It's flexible and weather-resistant. The webbed flat behind the ratchet is going to prevent the ratchet from coming in contact and damaging your boat. The strap itself has a 333-pound safe working load limit, and a maximum break strength of 1,000 pounds. Both the ratchet and the S-hooks are made out of stainless steel, so they're going to be resistant to rust and corrosion and damage from salt water. The strap itself is 3.5 feet long by an inch wide.So Mike works with our customers. Mike, what are customers asking or want to know about transom tie-downs Mike: Biggest question, Hayden that we get on transom tie-downs is, if they are required by law. Hayden: Well, they're always good to have. Because they're going to prevent your boat's stern from bouncing up and down on your trailer while you're going over bumps. But as far as laws or whether you need to have them, you'll want to be sure and check with your local laws. That's a good question, Mike. What are some other questions customers are asking Mike: Customers I talk to have questions about the buckle, and how one it might be better than another: say, the ratchet-style vs. a cam buckle. Hayden: Well, the nice thing about the ratchet-styles, it's going to allow you to get maximum tension. And you're not going to struggle with it. The cam buckle-style, you're going to have really pull down and get the tension you want. This is going to make it extra tight. All right. Cool. Thanks a lot. Mike: Thank you. Hayden: And that's going to complete our look at the BoatBuckle Ratchet Transom Tie-Downs, part number IMF12613.
