Its a massive day in the ‪@theEFL‬ as its the final day of the season, with promotion, play off spots and relegation all to play for and in some cases avoid. After two away defeats to struggling, but fighting for their lives ‪@PlymouthArgylefc‬ and ‪@LutonTown‬ , ‪@CoventryCityFC‬ welcomed ‪@MiddlesbroughFC‬ to the ‪@CoventryBuildingSocietyArena‬. the atmosphere before the match was very mixed, alot of nervous fans but also a jubilant singing in the fan zone and in the concourse before kick off. i was in the Nervous camp, though Jonas was confident. We visited the #famlyzone saw Skyblue Sam and Jonas practice his shooting and passing in the great set up they have for the juniors now before kick off. he also recieved a JSB package which he was very pleased with. We also Purchased 2 shirts before kick off, Jonas got the Blackout ‪@CoventryCityFC‬ shirt and i got the 1994/95 away retro top, remenicing #CobiJones #DionDublin and #PeterNdlovu. Big changes were made in goal for ‪@CoventryCityFC‬ as the call was made to bring in #goldenglove winner from 2 seasons ago #BenWilson. Milan and bobby also both returned, which seemed to settle a few nerves in the #CBS. The Game started in a very much an edge to the match, in terms it was a big game where the end result gave the winners a big oppetunity. the #skyblues were on the front foot and made some greta attacking opportunities with Simms narrowly missing and other attempts falling to Sheaf who couldn't keep his effort down. #boro then got into the game causing problems in the final third but only once did #benwilson have to be calle din to action where he tipped the effor ton to the post and wide. The deadlock was broken just before half time, slow build up from ‪@CoventryCityFC‬ allowed #Sakamoto room on the wing to get a fnatastic cross into the box, which was met by the rising #rudoni whos header found the bottom corner. the #CBS erupted with joy as the #skyblues had one foot in the play offs. The second half started with #boro changing there approach, trying to be direct and dictating play in the final third to try and breach the #skyblues back line. However the impressive Thomas and Kitching along with Ben Wilson put their bodys on the line to stop the ball going into the net. WIlson then made a crazy clearance that found #BTA who ran at the back line and fired in an effort that hit the post... moments later #boro also hit the post with the game being very much in the balance and results else where meaning both teams could have a chance to make the play offs. However the #skyblues put the game to bed when the impressive #Rudoni converted a #BTA cross to make it 2-0. The #skyblues were going to make the play offs once again for the 2nd time in 3 seasons... the final whitstle blew and the #skyblues supporters were elated knowing that this was just the start of a crazy period. The plays performed there well deserved lap of appciation at the end of the game with #franklampard leading the team around the pitch. its now a big week with a double header against ‪@SunderlandAFC‬ for a chance to return to #wembley at the end of the season. #PUSB #Boro #CCFC #franklampard #eflchampionship #playoffs
