After a disappointing week ‪@CoventryCityFC‬ welcomed ‪@LutonTown‬ to the ‪@CoventryBuildingSocietyArena‬. It was the first meeting between the two sides since there 2023 ‪@theEFL‬ Championship #playoff Final encounter that saw the #hatters promoted to the ‪@premierleague‬. The game started with the #skyblues very much opn top creatining several decent attempts on goal without scoring, when the #hatters won a penalty which was converted by their Captain. #skyblues kept on pushing to get the equaliser before half time, but again against the run of play ‪@LutonTown‬ doubled there advantage with a well worked goal, just before half time. Half time came with the #skyblues 2 goals behind, looking a little lost even with some decent play in the first half, at half time ‪@CoventryCityFC‬ made a substitution which saw Jack Rudoni enter the field of play at LWB. This changed the whole direct5ion of the second half, where the #skyblues took command. The #hatters game plan was to soak up the pressure and take the victory, but after a great header from Ellis Simms and a torpedo from Victor Torp the #skyblues had levelled the game 2-2. Shortly before the end of the game, Luton were reduced to 10 Men when Thomas Holmes was sent off for a second bookable offence 2 minutes later the #skyblues took advantage of the extra man and won the game 3-2 with a later winner from Haji Wright. It was a really promising second half performance after a first half that seem to mirror the season so far for the #skyblues. With Torp, Rudoni, Eccles and Sheaf all on the pitch at the same time the balance of the team seem to work in away where moving forward the ambitions set at the start of the season by the ownership might be achievable after all. It was good to see the Famly zone volenteers and also the #skybluesinthecommunity penalty shoot out out side the ground, there is a rumor that the #familyzone could return for the sheffield united game in late november outside the ground. Jonas also loved seeing Skyblue sam before the game. All in all a good day that hopefullt sets out what is to come as the season matures and progresses. #PUSB #Skyblues
