This is the maiden voyage of the old 66 Ford 4x4 since we finished the raisable hot tent camper. What a great test! 40 to 50 mile an hour wind gusts with snow sleet and hail all night long. If she can hold up to this abuse she can get me through anything! Such fun! Just a boy playing in the snow with this toys! Ice fishing was a bust but that's generally how ice fishing goes for me. I did get lucky the previous time I went but not so much this go around. I've learned that to enjoy ice fishing you must embrace relaxation or have something to do to keep you busy. I prefer the latter which is why I cooked my dinner out on the ice. It was the first time I've made jambalaya! Turned out pretty darn good! I used my Firebox Apocalypse Kit which includes the king of stoves, the original folding twig stove from back in the day which is still considered the best by most. The G2 5-in Firebox along with one of our newest products the Firebox 5-Way cast iron skillet as a stove pedestal to keep it from melting too far into the ice! Good times! Thank you my friends!
