South Carolina State Cross Country Championship Girls 3-A

The 2025 South Carolina High School League Cross Country State Championships took place on November 14-15 at the Aiken Steeplechase Horse Track. The Girls 3A race was the first race of day two on a beautiful fall morning in Aiken, SC. Coming into the race as the individual favorite was Ava Cifuni of St. Joseph’s. In the video, I mistakenly identify her as running for St. James…I’m not sure what happened with that, my apologies to both schools and to Ava. Cifuni lived up the status of being the favorite. She went right to the front and led wire to wire to win the title and earn a gold medal. Her first place time was 18:02. Corrie Reinhardt (North Charleston) held second the entire race and won the silver medal, hitting 18:40 at the line. Sierra Cooper (Greer Middle College) pulled away slightly from her teammates and finish in 18:45 for third and bronze. Greer Middle College dominated the team race, taking the State Championship with their top 5 all in the top 10! What a performance. Christ Church were runners-up with 85 points.
