Something that was neat for this flight was that after the takeoff roll, we flew over my Yacht Club. My family are members of Beach Point Club in Mamaroneck and it’s a fun place to go in the afternoons during the weekend if there’s no clubs occasionally. But something that is interesting about the Boeing B767-332ER fleet that Delta has is that not all of the aircrafts have the same engines. Some B767-332ERs are equipped with the PW4060 engine, which has one of the coolest 767 spool ups you can get, and some are equipped with the GE CF6-80 series, which many carriers or cargo carriers have for many widebody aircraft like the A330-300, MD-11, 767 and more. The GE CF6-80 series are what is equipped on all 767-400ER aircraft, and that model is rare. But this aircraft and the one we take back to NYC is equipped in the international configuration. In recent years, Delta has reconfigured the oldest B767-332ERs in its fleet into a domestic configuration because they will retire those soon as some of the oldest 767-300ERs have exceeded 34 years. This was a fantastic flight on a fan favorite aircraft model and I hope you guys enjoy this.
