PLOT (via Wiki & ChatGPT) Susannah’s (Rachel Blanchard) worsening cancer leaves her sons Conrad (Christopher Briney) and Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno) grappling with her looming death while clashing over Belly (Lola Tung). Belly hopes to ease their conflict while helping both families fight to keep their beloved summer house. Steven (Sean Kaufman), fresh off graduation, begins acting strangely. After Susannah’s funeral, Conrad disappears following an argument with Belly. She and Jeremiah search for him while wrestling with their own feelings. The brothers learn their aunt Julia (Kyra Sedgwick) now owns the beach house and intends to sell. Conrad secretly plots to save it while Belly and Jeremiah try a direct approach, but being back in Cousins stirs Belly’s painful memories. Julia pushes forward with an open house, but the kids distract themselves at the state fair with Taylor (Rain Spencer), Skye (Elsie Fisher), and Cam (David Iacono). Returning, they’re devastated to find the house emptied. Later, Jeremiah narrates a night spent at a country club, where Steven and Taylor grow closer, Belly confides her feelings for Conrad, and Taylor relates them to her own first love. As the sale nears, Belly convinces the group to throw a farewell party, where Steven boldly confesses to Taylor, Jeremiah clashes with Conrad, and Belly learns the truth about Conrad’s grief. Laurel (Jackie Chung) returns from New York, reconciles with Belly, and convinces Julia to reconsider. Julia admits her resentment and, moved by Laurel’s empathy, agrees to back out of the sale. Adam (Tom Everett Scott) agrees to buy the house back. Steven returns home to pursue Taylor, while Conrad crams for finals with the group’s help. Jeremiah shows Belly around Finch College, where they share a passionate kiss interrupted by Conrad. When a storm forces the triangle into a motel, Belly promises Jeremiah she’ll talk to Conrad, who admits he still loves her. Belly says nothing, but kisses Jeremiah the next morning, devastating Conrad. She and Jeremiah drive back to Philadelphia, while Conrad breaks down alone and quietly returns to Cousins. #thesummeriturnedpretty #conrad #jeremiah
