Since I am German-American, I would like to show you how to bake typical German cakes and much more, with American measurements and ingredients. How to bake a cake that is fluffy and moist enough as a "dry cake" is a question many people struggle with and which is not easy, but marble cake and marble cake frosting do not go together in Germany. We love to enjoy this cake with a cup of coffee or a glass of milk and it is an all time classic people like to bring to parties or birthdays -and if I use my mom's recipe from the video, which is the best recipe of course, they ask me for the instructions for baking this cake. So here they are! The German girl in me would love to see your results ;) MEINE REZEPTE / MY RECIPE www.lillyscupcakery.de/rezepte KONTAKT hello@lillyscupcakery.de MARMORKUCHEN / MARBLE CAKE für eine 30er Kastenform / 9 or 11 inch loaf pan Zutaten Teig alle Zutaten müssen zimmerwarm sein 190g Mehl 150g Butter 135g Zucker 2 Eier 3 EL Orangensaft Prise Salz 1 TL Rumextrakt 2 TL Backpulver 1 Pk Vanillezucker für den dunklen Teig zusätzlich: 1 EL Zucker 2 EL Orangensaft 50g Backkakao Ingredients Batter all ingredients must be at room temperature 1 1/2 cups flour 2/3 cups butter 2/3 cups sugar 3 tbs orange juice pinch of salt 2 eggs 1 tsp rum extract 2 tsp baking powder 1 tsp vanilla sugar or extract for the dark batter additionally: 1 tbs sugar 2 tbs orange juice 1/4 cup cocoa powder Zubereitung Teig 1. Butter und Zucker schaumig schlagen 2. dann die restlichen Zutaten für den hellen Teig hinzufügen und schlagen, bis eine homogene Masse entstanden ist 3. anschließend ein Drittel des Teiges entnehmen und die Zutaten für den dunklen Teig hinzufügen und erneut aufschlagen 4. eine Kastenform buttern und bemehlen und zuerst den hellen Teig eingießen, dann den dunklen Teig und alles mit einem Löffel so marmorieren wie es dir gefällt 5. bei 170°C Ober/Unterhitze für circa 40 min backen Instructions Batter 1. beat butter and sugar until fluffy 2. add remaining ingredients for the white batter and beat again 3. place 1/3 of the batter in a separate bowl and add the ingredients for the dark batter and beat again 4. butter and flour a loaf pan and pour in the white batter first 5. then add the dark batter and use a spoon to swirl around until you have a marble look you like 6. bake at 325°F for approx. 40 min Show me your result on social media: tag @lillysgermanbakery and use #lillysgermanbakery
