Joint pain and joint stiffness is a common symptom that occurs both in both menopause and perimenopause. With lower estrogen levels, women may experience changes in the structure and function of their joints, making them more susceptible to inflammation, stiffness, and pain. Joint pain occurs in the areas where two or more bones meet, facilitating movement in the body. It can range from mild to severe and may even be acute or chronic. Yoga for menopause joint pain helps considerably through its gentle stretching and movement. By gradually increasing flexibility in the muscles and ligaments surrounding the joints, menopause yoga can enhance the range of motion, alleviate discomfort, and reduce stiffness. Practiced regularly, it can help keep menopause and joint pain at bay and leave you with more flexible joints. KEY POSE: This challenge is for yoga beginners and in today's 15-minute video, we focus on LOW LUNGE pose which helps alleviate hip pain in menopause. By gently stretching the hip flexor on one leg and and the hip joint and groin on the other leg, you can help relieve joint stiffness in the hips.
