They had big shoes to fill, and I think the game they made is more than worthy of its name. Stage 1: 0:55 Stage 2: 10:10 Stage 3: 20:50 Stage 4: 26:56 Stage 5: 34:49 Stage 6: 46:44 Stage 7: 58:26 Stage 8: 1:03:44 Stage 9: 1:13:17 Stage 10: 1:24:09 Stage 11: 1:33:35 Stage 12: 1:44:52 Credits: 1:58:52 A few areas went really badly in this run, namely the stage 9 elevator and the stage 12 area with the robot midboss thing. Other than that it wasn't too bad. The highlight is probably just showing my strategy for the stage 7 boss. Get her health down to right before she's about to call for reinforcements, then spend all of your resources to do as much damage as you can in a single combo. I'm sure there are more damaging combos than what I used here, but this worked well enough to get through the fight without dying, so I consider it a success. Axel is definitely the weakest character out of the main cast, at least. He's slow and doesn't have great special attacks, and his grand upper has a lot of recovery. He does have a few good points though - his throws are good, he has a good jump kick, and he can do a lot of damage whenever you can safely land the forward+special multi hit combo. I like playing as him, but it can be a struggle.
