Hello. I made pretty daisy flowers with ‘Pastillage’. Pastillage ("pah-stee-ahhj") is a type of sugar-paste icing that dries firm. There are several sugar-paste like Royal Icing, Fondant, Gum Paste, and Pastillage. Royal icing is the softest. I introduced it in the last hydrangea flower video, please refer to it. Go to the royal icing hydrangea flower video • 로얄아이싱 플라워 수국꽃잎 만들기/ Royal icin... The fondant is soft and stretches well. That's why it is mainly used for covering cakes. It is also used for decorations. Ingredients are Powdered sugar, gelatin, water, and glycerin (or starch syrup). The gum paste is elastic and durable. However, unlike Fondant, it dries hard, so it is used to make colorful flowers on the cake or decorations like ribbons. So it's not for covering cakes. Ingredients include egg whites, powdered sugar, shortening, and additives such as Tylos or CMC (carboxymethyl cellulose). It is used to increase the elasticity and durability of the paste. And lastly, Pastillage is the hardest dry paste. It is mainly used for big crafts that need to be strong. Ingredients include Powdered sugar, Starch, Gelatin, and Water (+ Lemon Juice). Lemon juice can be omitted. The reason I only used this dough to make daisy flowers is that I hope my daisy flowers are long-lasting on the cake. .... ^^ The fondant decoration on the whipped cream cake melted too quickly. All of them look the same, but the strength and elasticity are different, so used differently. Ingredients 200g Powdered sugar 10g cornstarch 12g water 5g lemon juice 2g leaf gelatine
