This video provides information about the Bendix® Fusion™ 3.1 collision mitigation system on a Kenworth vehicle. Fusion 3.1 combines the most advanced technologies in the Bendix safety suite to deliver a system with more safety and driver convenience capabilities. Bendix Fusion uses multiple information sources, including the vehicle’s camera, radar, and brake controller to assess the situation and assist drivers to potentially help mitigate a forward collision. This means more potential opportunities for cross checking. The video reviews the latest enhancements to the powerful Fusion technology, in which the integration of radar, full stability, braking, and a new camera provide even more capabilities for increased performance. It shows how Fusion 3.1 differs from previous generations, including the use of the new camera, which enables the Pedestrian Autonomous Emergency Braking (PAEB) feature to potentially alert and brake on detected pedestrians at low vehicle speeds.
