Freshly Milled Flour Buttermilk Biscuits and Sausage Gravy Buttermilk Biscuits 4 C Freshly milled soft white wheat flour 2 TBSP Honey granules (or dry sweetener of choice) 1TBSP Baking powder 2 TSP Real salt 2 Sticks of unsalted butter 1 1/3 cup Whole buttermilk (plus extra as needed ) Whisk together dry ingredients in large bowl, be sure to blend well Cut butter into lengthwise fourths then slice fourths into small cubes Add butter to flour mixture and fluff until butter is coated Keeping cold at all times, squish butter into flour and fluff to recoat Continue until the butter is the same consistency as shown in video Make a well in flour butter mixture and pour 1 cup buttermilk Easily and slowly incorporate milk to mixture add as needed to get all sandy bits moistened I am not sure how to explain my method in written words on how to make dough without kneading or overworking, I'm better at videos, I apologize. Please watch instructions. Use 2 1/2 inch round cutter to make biscuits After all biscuits are made place on cookie sheet and put in fridge for at least 15 minutes, Bake at 425 F for 15-17 minutes and enjoy! Sausage Gravy 1 pound sausage of choice 6 TBSP freshly milled soft white wheat 4 Cups milk Brown sausage Coat sausage with flour and allow to brown add in milk and turn heat to med-hi and allow to boil Stir constantly until desired gravy thickness achieved Season to taste
