Railroad Crossing in a Building! | MoA Parking Garage, Minneapolis, MN

🗓️ Date: 10/10/19 After filming the mega crossing, I came into the Mall of America's parking garage, and set up at this crossing. This was my next catch, a Blue Line Light rail meet! As you can see, this is another strange railroad crossing. This crossing is located IN A PARKING GARAGE and is only to provide access for service vehicles. It is one way only. The equipment used here is the typical (for this line) Alstom light heads with WCH clear LEDs, and a pair of GS Type 2s. The rare thing here is the hinged gates, a full pair of them! This is the 3rd crossing I have fulmed with them. The WCH E-Bells heard are from a nearby pedestrian crossing (also in the building) which I filmed. ⚠️ A major word of caution for coming here. This crossing is technically on the Mall of America's property and they require a media permit for a tripod. A guard approached me after, telling me, but he was also nice enough to let me film the pedestrian crossing. I would recommend taking a handheld camera if you come here. Technically, the location I filmed at had a ton of barriers blocking it off to pedestrians. Was lucky to get the video I did, and will likely not return here again.
