Does this foreigner speak Chinese? No, not great anyways, but let me show you how our gorgeous lunch at “Ya Mei Dou Hua” can guarantee epic lunchtime success for yourself on your next visit to China. Use the following telltale signs: an otherwise unidentifiable shack or tent shows itself to be a restaurant by the pillar of delicious-smelling smoke rising from within. you’re noticing several tables of elderly people already waiting for food even though lunchtime is at least an hour away (or even better if the restaurant isn’t even open yet!). Finally, you can assume a great spot when the delivery or take-away driver line is larger than both the restaurant and the number of people dining at the restaurant. By trusting these telltale signs, you could say I had a very easy time identifying our lunchtime choice today - it has all 3 of these markers going on in full! Thank you for hanging out with YanLan and myself as we learn what Chinese people in Sichuan eat every day for lunch. I am sure you must be as excited as I am! LOCATION: Google maps doesn’t work as well as you might hope in China (Apple maps works fairly well though!) - here is a pin very near this restaurant. ( https://maps.app.goo.gl/MSQcLykTPLByN... )
