Hi! I’m Tammy Salamone, The Pink Survivor, and this is, “The Year I Wish I Could Erase." This is my sixth video in my series going through my entire breast cancer story. #cancersurvivor #breastcancer #mastectomy In this video I'm having my pre op appointments before my double mastectomy with reconstruction. Just days away from this surgery I am very depressed, scared and struggling to keep it all together emotionally. The doctors go over my plan for surgery and what will happen that day. I have been married to my very patient and loving husband, Dean, for over 26 years and we have three beautiful daughters together. I am an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and I’m confident my fitness level helped me before, during and after my breast cancer diagnosis. In early 2017, I was told I had an early stage breast cancer and then things began to spiral and overtook my entire life for almost two years. I’m telling my story today to help others going through the same thing and offer hope, that in time, life will be ok again. Thank you for being here!
