As a track sprinter I will try anything that promises to deliver improvements to my power and acceleration. This 6 week program was tucked away at the end of a famous Russian Strength coaches book. Yuri Verkhoshansky is known as the "Father of Plyometrics" and this program shows the power of depth jumps as part of your programming. In six weeks I saw improvements to my single broad jump, standing 5 bound and my electronically timed 40 metre sprint. This is somewhere between intermediate and advanced so follow this program at your own risk. I had patellar tendinitis AKA Jumper's Knee in week 4 and had to back off the intensity in weeks 5 and 6. For two sessions a week I was pleased to break through my plateau in 40 metre times. I am 37 years old so time is starting to work against me, meaning any improvements I can take are all the more valuable. My training log: https://9to5strength.com/forums/topic...
