For Parts go to www.Importapart.com or email us at [email protected] Today we are tearing down something special, the Turbocharged 13B Rotary engine out of a 1987 Mazda Rx7 Turbo II. Every week I make a new teardown video on a blown up, core, or suspected bad engine. These get torn all the way down to figure out what happened, why it happened and perhaps what parts I can recover to resell. Here are a few favorites: GM 3800 Series III Teardown • 'BAD' GM 3800 L26 V6 Engine Teardown. Why ... Bentley/Rolls Royce 6.75Litre Teardown • BROKEN BENTLEY / ROLLS ROYCE 6 ¾ L-Series ... Northstar V8 Teardown • Customer Returned This Cadillac Northstar ... Ford 300 4.9L Teardown • FINALLY! A "Bad" Ford 4.9L 300 Straight 6 ... My name is Eric and I own and run a full service auto dismantling business and part of our model includes dismantling bad engines to salvage the good parts from and recycle the rest. This particular engine was a giant unknown. All I knew is that its from an 87 Turbo II and the car was not nice/had been flooded. Regardless of whatever that situation was, the parts alone are hard enough to find that I was able to get the engine, transmission and rear end from the car before it was crushed and shredded. This is the teardown of the engine to see just how bad it was. As always I hope you enjoyed this video. I love all of the comments, feedback and even the criticism. Catch you on the next one! -Eric 00:00 Intro 03:55 Pulling the spark plugs and inspecting them.
