Mention the addition of separated cycle lanes, removal of on-street parking, or traffic calming measures and a common argument against their application is their impact on access for those living with varying disabilities. However, by taking a more in-depth look and actually engaging those individuals to learn about their lived experience, often it is discovered that the opposite is in fact true. In this digital study tour and discussion, Melissa Bruntlett is joined by Maya Levi, a Delft resident, student and mother living with Multiple Sclerosis who relies on her mobility scooter to access her city and the places she regularly travels. Travel along with Maya and see the world as she experiences it, and learn how living in a country that makes almost every place accessible through walking and cycling gives her the freedom and independence to move around on her own terms.
