Awesome to have Bryson in for a swim analysis! His body position and velocity in the water are strong, and with a few tweaks, we can make his stroke even more efficient. 🔹 Crossover Midline on Entry– Left hand overextends past midline, causing misalignment from shoulders to hips. Adjusting entry position will reduce unnecessary lateral movement and resistance. 🔹 Stroke Width – Right arm tends to move too wide, pushing the body out of alignment. Keeping the stroke closer to the midline and engaging the elbow earlier in the catch phase will improve efficiency. 🔹 Hand Position & Catch – Breaking at the wrist reduces propulsion. Treating the hand and forearm as a single unit (a paddle) will generate more power with each stroke. 🔹 Stroke Timing – A slight pause at the front of the stroke creates a catch-up effect. Maintaining constant pressure on the water will lead to smoother propulsion and better momentum. Great session, Bryson!
