However somewhere along the way... the intent was lost and the women abandoned... We learn as we do further research of the facility, that there was a woman starved to death at the Factory, Her name was Mary Ann Hamilton. A Constable allocated to the site confirmed he witnessed Mary Ann and other ladies scavenging for food, eating from discarded trash at the factory, as well as eating weeds from the grounds. It is sad to hear such stories, but these are the stories of those who no longer have a voice, We unearth these stories so that they are heard and remembered.
