041225 CHARTERWOOD STRUCTURE FIRE

At 2:50 am a fire was reported in a structure on Charterwood Drive in Splendora. With fire units still battling the Roman Forest house fire, other units were dispatched, including one from East Montgomery County, Caney Creek, North Montgomery County, South Montgomery County, and the Cleveland Fire Departments. The first unit had heavy fire on a metal building car shop. In addition to the building were multiple vehicles, including a motorcycle. The fire was also spreading to an adjoining home. The firefighter started to work on the blaze. With no hydrants available, a tank was set up down the road. With few pieces of equipment available, South Montgomery County's ladder truck was tasked with supplying water to the engines at the blaze. That continued until North Montgomery County arrived with their engine. The building and several vehicles were a total loss.
