Health Disparities is a large issue that has been here for far too much time. It is time now that we start finding solutions to other real-world problems just like this one. Here Bhavya Bansal, a 15-year-old Junior from Tampa, FL invites you to join her in the race against the clock to help make the lives of the people around us, better each and every day. She shares with us the struggles of health disparities that she has seen firsthand and provides her take on a solution to help avert this crisis. So will you join her in putting your innovation, creativity, passion, and dedication together to start solving this and other real-world problems? Bhavya Bansal is a 15-year-old high schooler in the class of 2023. She loves spending her free time browsing different ideas and learning a little bit more about everything she can get her hands on. She is a published researcher, and has worked on many independent projects regarding Covid-19 Rapid Testing, Transgender Athletes, Opioid Crisis, and Social Disparities in Health. She’s a competitive athlete in 2 year-round sports: swimming and wrestling. She loves spending time with family and enjoys bike riding. Science, particularly medicine, has always interested her, and she loves learning about the world’s scientific discoveries. She has a deep passion for surgery and biotechnology and loves to help her community. In fact, she has over 350+ community service hours. Something you may not know about her is that she skipped 5th grade and she was the first female wrestler/captain at her school. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
