This video contains information from my Bread 101 class. This recipe is a classic American sandwich bread enriched with honey, which keeps moist as well as butter and milk. The recipe is found below. ⬇️ American Sandwich Bread 1 loaf 3-3/4 cup all purpose flour (468g) 1-1/2 teaspoons kosher salt 2-1/4 teaspoons instant yeast (1 packet) 3 tablespoons melted butter 3 tablespoons honey 1/3 cup warm water (110℉ to 115℉) 1 cup warm whole milk Knead by hand or with a dough hook on medium speed until the dough is smooth and elastic. Transfer to an oiled bowl and turn it over once to coat with oil. Cover and let rise in a warm place (75 to 80F) until doubled in volume, about 1 hour. Remove from bowl and knead briefly, and shape into a loaf as demonstrated in the video. Lightly butter a bread pan, or use baking spray. Place the dough seam side down in the pan. Cover loosely with a tented plastic and let rise to almost double in bulk, about 45 minutes. Bread loaf: Preheat oven to 400℉. Bake for 15 minutes, then turn the oven temperature to 350℉ and bake for another 20 to 30 minutes until the top is golden brown and the loaf sounds hollow when tapped. Remove the bread to a cooling rack. Cool to room temperature before cutting. Enjoy! 😘
