The best Apple Crumble recipe with a sweet caramelized apple filling and a crisp crumbly topping. Enjoy with a scoop of ice cream or custard, you are gonna love it. Apple filling: 4 Green apples 4 red apples Peel and core the apples , dice them into small pieces. Add the apples to a deep pan 150 g light brown sugar 2 tsp lemon juice 1/2 tsp salt Mix everything well Add 2 tbsp water 3/4 tsp cinnamon pwd mix well, cover and cook for 10 mins on medium heat finally add 1 tbsp cornflour mixed with a little water to thicken the sauce and give it a glaze. cook for 1 min and turn off the flame. Set it aside to cool for a bit. For the Crumble: 400g All purpose flour 1/4 tsp salt 200 g light brown sugar 160 g unsalted butter (melted) 100 g walnuts chopped 1 tbsp dark brown sugar (optional) add the walnuts and the melted butter along with all the above ingredients. 1 tsp vanilla essence mix with hands till you get a crumbly texture ( not too wet and not too dry) Grease a 10 inch pie pan with unsalted butter Transfer the apple filling to the pie pan and level it Add the crumble topping all over the filling Baking in a preheated oven at 176 C for 35 to 40 mins or untill the the topping is golden brown and crisp. Let it cool outside for 35 to 45 mins before you cut. Serve while it is still warm . Enjoy this delicious apple crumble with vanilla custard or a scoop of ice cream.
