Christmas Eve Service | Candlelight Worship & Scripture Readings | Ferndale Community Church Join us for our Christmas Eve service as we light the Christ Candle—the center candle reminding us that Hope, Joy, Love, and Peace all radiate from Jesus. This night is filled with Scripture, prayer, and carols that lead us again to Bethlehem with “sanctified imagination,” to hear the angels’ message and adore the Christ-child. You’ll hear readings from: Acts 26 (Paul’s conversion and the blazing light from heaven) Isaiah 9 (the prophecy of the coming Child and Prince of Peace) Luke 1–2 (Gabriel’s announcement to Mary, the birth of Jesus, and the shepherds) Matthew 2 (the Magi, the star, and worshipping the newborn King) John 1 (the mystery of the Word made flesh—the Light shining in the darkness) And we sing beloved Christmas hymns and carols including: Joy to the World, O Come All Ye Faithful, Hark! The Herald Angels Sing, and O Holy Night—with our candlelighting tradition during Silent Night.
