I'm motivated by beauty, challenging ideas and Indian buffets. I'm a filmmaker - why not? I love TED talks, and it is an honour to be able to be given the opportunity to add something to the conversation. Good art acts on the adult brain in the same way that play acts on the brain of a child. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
