Owned by Bill McKenzie. He got it from Fred Berry, and Fred is who restored and tuned it. The Nathan H5 was the worlds first production multi chime locomotive air horn. It is unique in having external copper air tubes that supply air from the manifold to each chamber, and that the bells are welded together, so you can't reverse bells if you want to. These horns first came out in 1947, but were quickly reformed into the M5's that were a little more robust. The diaphragms and bell dimensions are identical to an M5 however, and the sound is also very similar. The name that is cast into the side of the H5's had changed over the short production lifespan, the first ones said Hexatone, this one says AIR-TONE. http://atsf.railfan.net/airhorns/h5.html
