I’ve just finished my general physical preparation phase and now I’m 10 weeks out from the marathon. This is where training becomes more specific. In this video, I share how I transition from GPP (general physical preparation) into SPP (special physical preparation), how I structure my strength training, and why my running plan is intentionally shorter as race day approaches. Instead of locking into a rigid 8–10 week marathon training plan, I adjust week by week based on fatigue, stress, and recovery. The goal isn’t to complete a perfect plan — it’s to arrive at the start line healthy and ready. Over the next weeks, I’ll document: – Race-specific workouts – Tempo and threshold sessions – Managing fatigue – Strength taper before the marathon If you’re preparing for a marathon or building long-term fitness, this series follows the process step by step.
