About this webinar: Did you know that an examiner asking: “What part of your thesis makes you the proudest?” is actually not that much interested in a response of “I am very proud about the fact that my thesis resulted in the world to be a better place”?!? Instead, the hidden question is what in your research would be noteworthy, such as “I was very proud once I recognised that in the initial two coding attempts, I had totally missed in seeing the patterns in the data, and it was only once I brought in the analytical framework that Smith used in a related study in 2016, that the patterns became clearly visible. This was a phenomenal learning and sort of lightbulb moment as it allowed me to analyse the research problem from a very different perspective.” Got the difference in the answers? The type of answer that will impress examiners is the one that connects the question about proudness to the context of your research, provides further evidence to the fact that your research has been rigorous and sound, and that you are fluent in communicating it from any of the ends.
