There’s a lot of talk about methylation tests, but most people aren’t told clearly what they actually measure or whether they’re worth doing. In this video, I explain: what methylation is in simple terms what methylation genes and SNPs actually mean when methylation testing can be genuinely useful in clinic why homocysteine is often the most practical marker to monitor when methylated B vitamins (and sometimes betaine/TMG) may be helpful My experience is that methylation testing can be helpful in a couple of specific situations, but for many people you can get the same clinical benefit by focusing on the downstream markers that matter.
