CATCHING BIG WALLEYE ON LAKE ERIE OUT OF GENEVA, OHIO: PART 2

In Part 2 of our Geneva, Ohio trip we use what we learned from the day before and head right back to where we caught our better fish. Amber started out with her tried and true jig and crawler and I started with a 5/8 oz. Kalin's search bait in gold. We didn't mark a ton of fish but it seems like the ones we were marking were good fish. The action was immediate and fairly steady. We proceeded to snipe them for several hours battling hot 90 degree temps. We finally decided to troll to hopefully get a little breeze. We had very consistent action on mostly eaters but right at the end we pulled our biggest fish of the weekend at 28" and just over 8 lbs. The fish was well built and we we surprised it only went 8. And as we reeled that one in another board went back and Amber reeled in another chunky 6 pounder. It's always a fun trip out to Geneva and we are looking forward to heading back over Labor Day Weekend where we will be fishing the LEWT tournaments.
