This ranch dressing hits all the right notes but is better than the stuff you can buy at the supermarket. Here's the basic recipe: 1/2 cup full-fat yogurt 1/4 cup mayonnaise 2 teaspoons granulated garlic 1 teaspoon granulated onion 2 whole garlic cloves, finely minced or pressed through a garlic press 1/4 cup minced fresh dill or 2 teaspoons dried dill 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper 2 tablespoons minced fresh chives or 2 teaspoons dried chives 1 tablespoon juice from 1 lemon or lime Pinch cayenne or other hot pepper powder Salt to taste Whisk it all together, let it sit for at least a couple hours in the fridge or preferably overnight.
